Who We Are
Founded in 2018, Acceptance started from the humblest of beginnings; Founder Wilton Beamer, a former Direct Support Professional, witnessed the mass displacement of 150+ developmental disabled individuals, many of whom he had been providing personalized development for 5+ years. Rather than depriving them of the compassion they’d become accustomed to, Wilton decided to turn his home into a facility that could continue to provide a safe, healthy, and inclusive space for these individuals to live life to the fullest. Now with over 5 locations, we continue to provide compassion and personalized care because, at Acceptance, we see living as more than just going through the motions; it’s about finding a place where you belong.
Since its inception, Acceptance has provided that “place” where everyone feels accepted.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide spaces where people with disabilities can live their lives to the fullest and be accepted. Whether it’s self-care activities, daily living skills, or vocational/social-emotional goals, we want everyone to establish independence to the best of their ability.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be a well-known and respected group home for people with developmental disabilities. Our commitment and ability to provide excellent care are hallmarks that we will continue to uphold for as long as possible.
